Hi, I’m Nairi (rhymes with diary)
Armenian-American designer and illustrator based in Los Angeles, CA
As an industrial designer with over 15 years of progressively responsible design management experience, I’ve secured over 12 patents and developed transformational products for extremely high-touch industries like baby and juvenile goods. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of collaborating with renowned brands like Skip Hop, Disney, Munchkin, and Fridababy.
I launched my career by training at Art Center College of Design where I earned a bachelor's degree in Product Design in 2007. Since then, I’ve cultivated my experience in various design roles and provided senior leadership to cross-functional design and strategy teams.
Currently, as an instructor of design at Art Center, I teach Sketching for Designers and develop sketching style and confidence through 2 and 3-dimensional subjects for undergraduate and graduate design students.
As an illustrator, I love creating cheerful art in a stylized-whimsical style that tells stories about my Armenian heritage.
I love the outdoors.
I’m an avid hiker and camper, drawing creative inspiration from the wilderness.
