COMPETITOR RESEARCH

USER JOURNEY

Evaluating the step-by-step journey of how parents introduce brushing teeth to babies to identify design opportunities that can deliver human-centered solutions.

FINDINGS:

  • In step 8, we discover that at this early stage, teething on all surfaces of the training toothbrush is vital.

  • The training toothbrush should have visual cues of looking like a toothbrush but should offer teething functionality as well.

USER RESEARCH

Observation & Ergonomics

FINDINGS:

  • The product handle should be intuitive and easy to use for early grasp development.

  • The brush head should service multiple sides of the tooth to aid in full cleaning coverage and shorten the usage time.

  • Overall, the product should function as a teether as well with surfaces that massage sore gums.
